Projects - thanks for your partnership

Partnership takes many forms. One is when people with money (comparatively speaking) partner with Sowers that have the opportunity, gifting and training to enable church training and planting. We present partnership opportunities as 'projects'.

How is a project approved? Is the process robust? What accountability is there? Good questions! Click here for answers

LifesaverS  O  S  -  Support of Sowers

Our most urgent need. Partial or complete support, one-time or regular, all help to meet the basic needs of a national Sower, Amazingly, only USD10 per day average is needed to support a Sower. That's about the same as cafe coffee for two! Could your small group, your Church, or perhaps you personally, give full or part support of one Sower? What a wonderfully cost effective way to be a partner in the Gospel.Sketchboard

Equip a team of Sowers

You can buy a sketch board, paper, paint and brushes and equip an entire team for a one time payment of only USD25.

Where Most Needed

Where Most Needed is the fund we use to meet the unexpected, to smooth lumpy cash flow for specific projects and to make up shortfalls in personal support of Sowers. We deeply appreciate your contribution to this critical fund.

Project 27 - Zimbabwe Coordinator

E-mail Print PDF

Growth in the SOWERS ministry in Zimbabwe has reached the point where a full-time staff member is needed, rather than the part-time position of late. We want to continue the momentum that exists in training churches to use this tool that is so effective in reaching people for God. Would you join us in prayer for the USD5520 per annum that is needed? To partner financially, please use the How to Donate block on the left. Thanks.

Project 26 - Zimbabwe Internet

E-mail Print PDF

It is no news to anyone that communication is critical. SOWERS makes a huge effort to keep costs to a minimum by using electronic communication wherever possible. Yet even that is relatively expensive in countries such as Zimbabwe where other things can be so inexpensive.  One donation of USD465 per year to cover the cost of internet access would release other desperately needed funds for very productive ministry. Project 24 - Central Africa Development

E-mail Print PDF

This project has two aims. The SOWERS' President (Ghanaian) has an unmatched ability to encourage and challenge our African Boards and staff. Our Partnership Coordinator also needs to visit the region with similar purpose directed specifically at partnership issues and international coordination. The plan is for them to travel together to reduce costs and have maximum impact. There is also a need for some specific training and coordination in DR Congo that they are uniquely equipped to accomplish. USD13,800 being mostly airfares. To partner financially, please use the How to Donate block on the left. Thanks.

E-mail Print PDF

Transport is a huge challenge for our National Coordinator. He needs to vist and develop widely scattered teams of Sowers. He needs to take a sketchboard and easel to training seminars. Try to imagine carrying them on a bicycle for long distances over rutted dirt roads. A motorbike will greatly increase his productivity. USD2300. Project 22 - Hong Kong / China

E-mail Print PDF

China. The very name invokes a range of reactions. For many it is the manufacturing powerhouse of the world economy. A few might think of Hudson Taylor and his pioneering mission work. What does it mean to SOWERS? We don't know, yet. We used to have a work in Hong Kong, but the work was suspended when staff left.

Now we want to rekindle the work in Hong Kong and explore the possibilities for the mainland. This visit is exploratory with the aim of discerning the challenges and opportunites and to try and make suitable contacts. The cost is mainly airfares, and totals USD5925. To partner financially, please use the How to Donate block on the left. Thanks.

Project 15 - DR Congo Development

E-mail Print PDF

Street scene in Lubumbashi, DR CongoCongolese Christians have been trained by Zambian Sowers and are now spearheading the work in Katanga Province of DR Congo. Church planting is proceeding rapidly. Already the work has reached a stage where a couple of senior Sowers need to travel to train, shepherd, and develop other leaders. These experienced men need prayer and some support to replace the 'lost' income from other sources for caring for their families. Would you pray with us? If you could give part or full support, please use the HOW TO DONATE block to the left.
