How did the need arise?
Historically internet access has been prohibitively expensive. And that is just for email access without access to the web. One result of that is that the resources on the Mission's internal web site have been inaccessible to SOWERS in Malawi.
Project purpose
Costs and availability have improved recently. Our hope is that enough web access can be provided for careful use by our Sowers in Malawi. It would enable better communication and coordination with our international team. It would enable more effective use of Mission resources.
Who will do it?
Rev G Kamwendo, SOWERS acting National Coordinator, will make the arrangements.
Cost
The cost is in two parts. There is a one-off start up cost for equipment of USD270.
In addition there is an ongoing cost of USD1285 per year or USD107 per month.
