A replacement photocopier is urgently needed in Lusaka. The previous photocopier is 12 years old and has become obsolete and they cannot get parts. So they are struggling to efficiently produce short-run manuals to do the work.
How did the need arise?
A Risograph is used for volume printing, but is not cost-effective for low volume work. Parts are no longer available for servicing the old photocopier used for low volume printing.
Project purpose
A Canon IR1024 is the most appropriate small photocopier available in Lusaka. It is a newer model and paper jams can be removed easily.It doubles as a computer printer.
Who will do it?
Mr Mukonde of the Zambian board will supervise this project.
