The Vision of the Harvest
“Do you not say, ‘Four months more and then the harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.” - John 4:35
Jesus contrasts two ways of seeing time. We often think like farmers who must wait for seasons, counting months and delaying action. When we focus on the calendar, we start to procrastinate and don’t share the Gospel.
But for the Sower, every day is an opportunity. Just as a football coach urges his players to keep their eyes on the ball, Jesus urges us to keep our eyes on the field. A player who watches the clock loses the ball; a Sower who watches the calendar loses opportunities to bring in the harvest.
Those who count months see delays. Those who look at the field see souls ready now. The harvest is before us. Our opportunity is today.

- God that during an open-air at Ka**, a man named K** sought out Richard in tears after hearing the Word. He was led through the counselling booklet and received Christ.
- And thank God for spiritual growth in K’oo. Richard and team are aiding new believers’ growth and steadfastness through prayer cell lessons and follow-up visits.
- That many local pastors invite SOWERS for Level 1 & 2 seminars, as we offer a culturally appropriate way to reach people.
Pray
- For favour with government officials so SOWERS Uganda National Board completes paperwork for legal re-registration smoothly and the work continues without hindrance.
- For strength for Richard and other field workers travelling to remote areas (March - May), for God's protection on the roads and for continued clarity and inspiration in teaching and preaching.
- For God’s provision of essential tools needed for outreach through the local churches and partners: bicycles for transport and sketch board kits for open-air meetings.
USA

- Steve has joined the USA Board. We look forward to his spreading the word about SOWERS.
Pray
- For Donni's ankle surgery recovery and her SOWERS video project, using footage from Ghana, to create something to show churches, friends, and groups.
- For Duane, kept so busy by his company.
ZAMBIA

- And thank God for His great grace in enabling us in His work and for the effective support of our prayer partners and donors.
- For spiritual & numerical growth in members of new churches (Lusaka & Copperbelt Provinces).
- For successful kilning of bricks and land acquisition for building a SOWERS office in Luapula North.
