Kenya

Kenya fits into Australia 13.25 times and has a population of 49,000,000. It is divided into eight provinces. English and Swahili are the main languages but there are many other languages spoken in Kenya. According to Operation World, almost 50% of the population are evangelical Christians. SOWERS is not yet registered in Kenya and is led by a Steering Committee.

Worker Profile

EMMANUEL - Emmanuel and Udiness are Zambian SOWERS missionaries working in Kenya. They moved to Kenya in 2012 and are living north west of Nairobi. They have four children. Emmanuel came to the Lord in 1986 at a SOWERS open-air meeting. He went to the International Needs Bible School in Solwezi, Zambia, where he studied theology and learnt carpentry. On returning home he was trained up to Level 5 and has had many years experience in teaching churches the SOWERS Program. Also in 2020 he was appointed as Regional Advisor East Africa and has been responsible for initiating and developing the work in Tanzania.
